The All Wales Paediatric Respiratory Network (AWPRN) was established in 2018 to work with the Welsh Government Respiratory Health Implementation Group, and now with the NHS P&I National Strategic Network for Respiratory Conditions and the Children and Young People Respiratory Forum (CYPRF), to standardise care of respiratory conditions in children across Wales. All hospitals in South, West and Mid Wales are represented in the network with a designated clinical lead, nurse lead and pharmacy lead. The Network works closely with colleagues in North Wales, who link in with The AlderHey Hospital in Liverpool as their tertiary respiratory centre.
